The Secret to a Miracle
September 9, 2024
Hey Clawson Family!
Song:
Scripture:
Philippians 4:13 NLT
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Ephesians 3:20 NLT
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Matthew 20:30-32 NLT
30 Two blind men were sitting beside the road. When they heard that Jesus was coming that way, they began shouting, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
31 “Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them.
But they only shouted louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
32 When Jesus heard them, he stopped and called, “What do you want me to do for you?”
Devotional:
Have you ever had a problem that just seemed too big for you? Maybe it is a situation that you are in or a relationship issue you have, but it just seems like it is overwhelming. When we get into those situations, it can be easy to focus only on the problem in front of us, and we can forget to focus on our amazing God. Our God is bigger than any problem we face, and his power is more significant than any power on Earth. We have to turn to him and turn away from the problem. This week, we are going to take some time and look at some of the miracles Jesus performed here on Earth to remind us of the fact that we serve a God who can do big things. We don’t have to face anything by ourselves. He is the one who gives us strength to overcome whatever we are facing. Jesus is asking you today, “What do you want me to do for you?”
Journal:
In your journal this week, write a daily letter to God. Take time to be honest with God about your struggles, and then ask God to give you his strength to overcome those problems.
Training:
Focus right now on the one thing you need from God more than anything else. Something entirely impossible or improbable without the direct intervention of the Lord! What is it you want God to change? What is it you want Him to provide? What is it you want Him to remove, heal, or resurrect? Name it, write it down, and focus on it.
