Holy Spirit Led Life
January 23, 2024
Clawson Family,
Day 2! Time to wake up and start our day off right!
Scripture:
Galatians 5:16-17; 24-26 NLT
Living by the Spirit’s Power
16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.
Devotion:
In order for us to live our lives led by the Holy Spirit we have to be willing to submit to His will and authority, in every situation. In our day-by-day, we have to submit to His leadings and His corrections. We have to trust His Word, listen to His voice, and depend on Him alone. We can’t rely on our own abilities, actions, intuition, and strength! When we submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit and depend on Him, we are able to walk by the Spirit and be enabled to live as God as intended us to live.
Journal:
In your journal write down how you need His presence in your life. What steps are you willing to take to live a Spirit-filled life?
Training:
Pray and ask God to help you become more aware of the Holy Spirit in your life and tonot resist His direction. Commit to obey when the Holy
Spirit leads you. Pray that God will help you be more responsive to His voice.
