Every person on earth was born with a sinful nature, and thus needs Salvation through Jesus in order to know God and spend eternity with Him.  The Bible tells us all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.

Do I need salvation?

Jesus is entirely God and a member of the Triune God. He was sent to Earth as a man to pay the price for our sins and now sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. Because of His death on the cross, and His resurrection, we may be saved.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus died on the cross to bear the weight of sin and death, and to break the curse of the Mosaic Law. Because of that, the only way to salvation is through Him, and no other. The Bible says when we call upon His name, confess our sinful nature, and surrender our life to Him as our Lord and Savior, He forgives us, counts us as righteous by giving us a new life, and seals our eternity in Heaven.

How do I receive salvation?

Salvation

Baptism is an important step in our walk with Christ, which publicly professes our Salvation in Him, and represents the cutting off of our sinful. Baptism at Clawson is performed by total submersion in water (to represent the totality of Salvation), in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

What is baptism?

Baptism is not a requirement for Salvation. Just like the thief on the cross in the Bible, the only method by which we can be saved is Jesus‘s death and resurrection, and nothing more. However, baptism is an important step in our faith and our spiritual growth, and it is instructed as a 'step two' in the Bible for all who receive Jesus as their savior.

The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Holy Trinity, after God and Jesus. He is the actual Spirit of God. Jesus sent him to earth after ascending to heaven, so that we may have a helper who lives inside of us.

According to the Bible, the Holy Spirit leads us to truth, guides our decision-making, comforts us, convicts us, advocates for us, and empowers us.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

Every person who is saved has access to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We are able to hear his voice and feel his guidance in many ways including prayer, worship, "gut feelings”, the Bible, dreams, visions, and His Gifts. Information about the Gifts of the Spirit can be found in 1 Corinthians 12.

Do I have the Holy Spirit?

Holy Spirit Baptism is a moment in which believers are filled completely with the power of the Holy Spirit. Baptism means to be totally immersed, so to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, means to be totally immersed in Him. The book of Acts proves to us that Holy Spirit baptism is a separate event from salvation, and though it is not a requirement for Salvation, every believer should seek to be baptized in the Holy Spirit in order to be empowered by Him and to have access to His gifts.

The Bible refers to it as sanctification. When we are saved, we are justified and made righteous in the eyes of God. However, our minds, will, and emotions are still very much imperfect and in need of betterment.

Spiritual growth is the process of becoming more like Christ by allowing our minds, will, and emotions to be shaped by Him.
