Peace Is Possible
June 16, 2025
Hey Clawson Family!
Scripture:
Philippians 4:11–13 (NLT)
“I have learned how to be content with whatever I have… For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
Devotional:
Paul wasn’t writing from a beach resort or in a moment of calm—he was in prison. And yet, he declared contentment and peace. How? Because peace isn’t based on what’s happening around us. It’s anchored in Who is living within us. Paul had discovered the secret: Christ gives us the strength to walk through chaos without falling apart.
Peace of mind is possible not when life gets easier, but when we get closer to Jesus. The world teaches us to search for peace in comfort, success, or control. But the peace of God is found when we hand over control, let go of outcomes, and trust Him in every moment—good, bad, or uncertain.
Journal Questions:
What areas of your life have you been waiting to “calm down” before you believe peace is possible?
How can you start inviting Jesus into your anxiety today?
Challenge:
Declare out loud every morning this week: “Peace is possible for me—because Christ gives me strength.”
Prayer:
Jesus, help me believe that peace isn’t just possible for others—it’s possible for me. I give You my fear and anxiety and choose to fix my mind on Your strength. Be my source of peace today. Amen.
