Prepare for Your Miracle
September 13, 2024
Hey Clawson Family!
Song:
Scripture:
GENESIS 26:4
4 I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed.
HEBREWS 11:8-10
8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. 9And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. 10Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.
PSALMS 37:7
7 Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.
Devotional:
The expectation of a miracle requires us to be patient in the waiting. We have to believe in our hearts that the Word of God is true and that the promises God has made to us are reliable.
There are two extremes that we must avoid as we wait for God to answer our prayers and provide us with the miracle we seek. First, avoid the tendency only to believe what you can see.
Learn to live in anticipation. Learn to prepare for your miracle, expect your miracle, and anticipate your miracle even while you live without your miracle’s full availability. Prepare for your miracle by being a good steward of all God has given you to do.
Believe me, if you have genuinely heard from God regarding your miracle and are faithful with all He has placed in your hands to do while you wait, He will not let you down. He will show himself more than faithful to you. He will show Himself to be a miracle-working God!
Journal:
Today in your journal, write out a list of 15-20 things you are thankful for. Be sure to be specific and then take time to thank God for those things.
Training:
Prepare for your miracle by being a good steward of all God has given you to do. Daily, remind yourself of all the things God has done for you. Ask for a heart of thanksgiving and gratitude!
