2 Corinthians 10:3-6

3 We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 [a]We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.6 And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.

Devotion:

You can’t have a positive life in a negative mind.

Here is a question I want you to ask yourself. Am I willing to take an honest look inside myself and what is going on in my mind. Am I willing to change. Can I go from I got this, to I need help. That would be the first mindshift that needs to take place.

You can’t change what you won't acknowledge, you will not acknowledge what you cannot see, and you cannot see if you refuse to look. If you can’t consider part of the reason your life is the way that it is because of the way that you think, then you will not be able to get help. 

We have to  shift our mindsets by: 

- Feeding your mind the right things

- Capturing the wrong things and getting them out of your mind

 - Think on the right things.

Pastor Josh said one of the things that he does to help himself mentally is daily declarations.

Jesus Christ is all that Matters in my life. I exist to serve worship, and glorify Him. I love my wife and I will lay down my life to serve her. I am a great father to my kids, and My kids will know God, love God, and serve him with their whole hearts. I will nurture, equip, train and empower them to do more for the kingdom than they ever thought possible. I love people. And believe the best about others. 

Because of Christ, my life has purpose, my family is closer, my body is stronger, my faith is deeper, my leadership is sharper. I am creative,  driven, focused and blessed beyond measure because the spirit of God dwells within me. 

I serve others, and develop leaders. That's not something that I do, it's who I am. I bring my best and then some. The world will be different and better because I served Jesus today. I will turn this world upside down for my Lord and Savior.
