1 Corinthians 11:28 (NLT) — "That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup."

Devotional:

Before communion, Scripture invites us to pause and search our hearts. Not to condemn ourselves — but to clear the way for true intimacy with Jesus. Examining ourselves allows us to give God anything we're holding onto: sin, bitterness, pride, shame. It's not about achieving worthiness; it’s about offering a surrendered, honest heart.

Journal Questions:

• What areas of my life do I need to surrender to Jesus today?

• How can confession and repentance lead me closer to God?

  
  

Challenge:

Spend 5-10 minutes today in quiet prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden places in your heart that need to be surrendered to Him.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, search me. Show me anything in my heart that doesn’t honor You. I lay it down today. Cleanse me and make me new so that I can receive Your love fully.
