Stewarding the Life You Love
February 14, 2025
Hey Clawson Family!
Song:
Scripture:
Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT)
“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”
Psalm 24:1 (NIV)
"The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it."
Devotional:
God has entrusted us with the beautiful gift of life, and it’s our responsibility to steward it well. Stewardship is not just about managing resources like time, money, or talents. It’s about recognizing that everything we have — our health, relationships, our passions — is a gift from God.
The life you love, filled with joy, purpose, and meaning, is a direct result of God’s grace. How you live it out is your offering back to Him.
In Psalm 24:1, we are reminded that everything belongs to God. The world, our life, our experiences — it’s all His, and we’re simply caretakers. Our job is to live intentionally, making choices that align with His purpose. God is not just concerned about what we do with what we have, but also how we carry ourselves in the process.
Loving the life God has given us isn’t just about celebration—it’s about stewardship. If we don’t manage our time, finances, health, and relationships well, we can quickly go from loving our lives to feeling overwhelmed. God calls us to be faithful stewards of every blessing He gives us.
As we step into a season of learning how to steward our lives, let’s commit to honoring Him in every area.
Journal:
Stewardship begins with gratitude. A life filled with appreciation for God’s blessings will naturally lead to more care and intention in managing those blessings. Take time today to reflect on the things you are thankful for, from the small moments to the bigger milestones and write them in your journal.
Training:
Practical Steps to Steward the Life You Love:
Be Intentional in Your Decisions
How you spend your time is a reflection of your priorities. Steward your time well by aligning it with your values and purpose. Begin each day with prayer, asking God for wisdom and guidance in your decisions. Small choices made with intention can have a profound impact on your life.
Nurture Relationships
The relationships in your life are an integral part of the life you love. Steward these relationships with love, patience, and grace. Just as you would care for a garden, tend to the people around you — nurturing them with kindness, listening, and encouragement.
Prayer:
God, help me to steward my life well. Give me wisdom to manage my time, relationships, and resources in a way that honors You. I want to live a life that brings You glory. Amen.
