From Meltdown to Breakthrough
June 6, 2025
Scripture:
Psalm 34:4-5 (NIV)“I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant…”
Devotional:
After the lowest moment of David’s life, he wrote a worship song. Psalm 34 wasn’t written from a throne — it was written after the breakdown. And yet, his language is full of praise, not shame. Why? Because he knew God used the meltdown as a setup for a breakthrough. His story didn’t end in fear — it ended in freedom.
When you experience a breakdown, don’t run away from God — run to Him. Look to Him, and your face will radiate again. Shame doesn’t have the final word. Fear doesn’t get to dictate your future. God is close to the broken. He’s still writing your story, and He’s using your lowest point to launch your next praise.
Journal Questions:
What have I learned from my last breakdown or failure?
How has God met me in the middle of my mess?
Challenge:
Share a testimony this week — privately or publicly — about how God used a “breakdown moment” for your growth or healing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for staying close when I’m at my lowest. Help me see my breakdowns as opportunities for breakthrough. Use every moment — even the messy ones — to bring You glory. I praise You even in the process.
