Keep Practicing Peace

June 20, 2025

Hey Clawson Family

Scripture:

Philippians 4:8–9 (NLT)

“Fix your thoughts on what is true… Keep putting into practice all you learned… Then the God of peace will be with you.”

Devotional:

Peace isn’t a one-time feeling—it’s a daily discipline. Paul reminds us to fix our minds on what is true, lovely, excellent, and praiseworthy. That means peace doesn’t just fall on us—it grows as we consistently practice truth, gratitude, and right thinking. The God of peace shows up when we keep showing up in the process.

Peace isn’t just spiritual—it’s practical. What we watch, what we listen to, what we dwell on—all of it impacts our peace. If you’re tired of feeling anxious, maybe it’s time to change what you’re feeding your mind. Because what you focus on grows. And when you focus on Jesus, peace grows strong.

Journal Questions:

  • What thoughts are stealing your peace?

  • What do you need to change in your daily routine to help fix your mind on truth?

Challenge:

Write Philippians 4:8 somewhere visible this week and use it as a daily checklist for your thoughts.

Prayer:

God, I want to live in peace. Help me guard my mind and practice Your truth daily. When my thoughts wander, help me fix them back on You. Let Your peace walk with me every day. Amen.
