Living in Fulfillment
February 7, 2025
Hey Clawson Family!
Song:
Scripture:
John 10:10 (NIV)
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Romans 8:28 (NLT)
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Devotional:
True fulfillment comes when we align ourselves with God’s purpose. Many people chase success, but success without purpose is empty. The most joy-filled, meaningful life is one that is spent doing what we were created to do—bringing glory to God and serving others.
True fulfillment is not found in worldly success, material possessions, or fleeting pleasures. It is found in Christ, who gives us abundant life. Many people chase after fulfillment in relationships, careers, and achievements, only to find themselves empty. But Jesus offers something deeper—a life of purpose, peace, and eternal joy.
Living in fulfillment means walking in God’s will, trusting in His promises, and embracing the journey He has set before us. It means being content in His provision and confident in His plan, even when circumstances seem uncertain.
How to Live in Fulfillment:
1. Seek God First – “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
• Prioritize your relationship with God above all else. Fulfillment flows from Him.
2. Walk in Your Purpose – “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
• God has a unique plan for your life. Seek His guidance and walk boldly in His calling.
3. Trust His Provision – “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
• True fulfillment is not about having more but trusting God to provide what you need.
4. Embrace Contentment – “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” (Philippians 4:11)
• Fulfillment comes when we appreciate what God has already given us, rather than constantly longing for more.
5. Live with Gratitude – “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
• A heart of gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to the abundance we already have in Christ.
God is always working in your life, even in the seasons when you feel lost. Trust that He is leading you toward a greater purpose. Seek Him daily, and you will discover the joy of living the life you were meant to live.
Journal:
Take a moment today to reflect on the areas of your life where you may be seeking fulfillment apart from God in your journal. Surrender those areas to Him and trust that His plans for you are greater than anything the world can offer.
Training:
Lord, thank You for the abundant life You offer through Christ. Help me to seek fulfillment in You alone and not in temporary things. Lead me in Your purpose, teach me contentment, and fill my heart with gratitude. May I walk each day with the confidence that You have a perfect plan for my life. I want to live a life of fulfillment, not just existence. Guide me into my purpose, and help me to trust that You are working everything together for good. Thank You for calling me and using me. Amen.
