Love Over Pettiness

March 21, 2025

Hey Clawson Family!

Song:

Scripture:

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. – 1 Peter 4:8 (NIV)

Devotional:

It’s easy to justify our bad behavior by pointing out other people’s flaws. But Jesus doesn’t call us to live in pettiness—He calls us to love. Love doesn’t hold onto offenses or let small things turn into division. Instead, it seeks to cover, heal, and restore.

Journal Questions:

  1. Have you ever let something petty keep you from making peace?

  2. How does choosing love over offense change relationships?

  3. What can you do today to be a peacemaker?

Challenge:

Refuse to be petty today. Instead of holding grudges or waiting for others to make the first move, be the one who chooses love.

Prayer:

God, help me to love like You do. Keep me from pettiness, pride, and resentment. Teach me to prioritize relationships over being right. May I reflect Your grace in all my interactions. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
