Peace Isn’t Found, It’s Given
June 18, 2025
Hey Clawson Family!
Scripture: John 14:27 (NLT)
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.”
Devotional:
We chase peace like it’s a hidden prize. We think if we can fix our schedule, fix our finances, fix our people—then we’ll finally be at peace. But Jesus flips that idea upside down. He says, “Peace is not something you find. It’s something I give.” It’s not earned through effort; it’s received through surrender.
True peace doesn’t come from a quiet life. It comes from a heart quieted by the presence of Jesus. He’s not calling you to hustle for peace—He’s inviting you to rest in it. Let Him hand it to you today. Stop chasing and start receiving.
Journal Questions:
What are some ways you’ve tried to “earn” or “find” peace on your own?
How would your life change if you truly received peace as a gift from God?
Challenge:
Take 10 minutes today to sit in stillness and ask God to help you receive His peace as a gift—no striving, just receiving.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for giving me peace—not as the world gives, but as only You can. Help me stop chasing and start resting in You. I receive Your peace today. Amen.
