Protect Your Peace
May 29, 2025
Hey Clawson Family!
Scripture:
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”— Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)
Devotional:
Your mind is under constant attack, not always from outside forces but from the constant noise we allow in—social media, negativity, toxic people, even our own unchecked thoughts. Peace isn’t something you stumble into; it’s something you must guard intentionally.
Just like you wouldn’t leave your front door wide open in a dangerous neighborhood, don’t leave your mental gates unguarded. What you watch, listen to, and dwell on either feeds anxiety or fuels peace. And peace is worth protecting—because when your mind is at peace, you can hear God more clearly and respond to life with faith.
Journal Questions:
What is currently stealing my peace?
What boundaries do I need to set around my eyes, ears, or influences?
Challenge:
Do a 24-hour media fast. Use that time to read, pray, and be still. Notice what changes in your mind.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the peace You’ve made available to me. Help me be wise about what I allow into my life. Teach me to protect the peace You’ve given and guard my mind from unnecessary chaos. In Jesus’ name, amen.
