Devotional
As Christians, we are not called to walk this journey alone. God, in His wisdom, designed us to thrive in the context of a family — His family. The Church, the body of Christ, is not merely a building or a gathering; it is a living, breathing community where strength is found, burdens are shared, and love is displayed.
In Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, we are reminded of the strength that comes from partnership and community. When we stumble, we need someone to extend a hand. When we are weary, God often uses His people to refresh and uplift us. Just as the human body works in unison to heal an injury or strengthen a weakness, so too does the family of God.
God’s strength often flows through His people. When we surround ourselves with fellow believers who encourage us, pray for us, and point us toward Jesus, we become stronger. Likewise, we are called to be a source of strength for others — to lend a listening ear, to help carry their burdens, and to reflect God’s love.
Perhaps today you feel alone or overwhelmed. Remember, you are part of God’s family. Whether it’s through a word of encouragement, a prayer, or simply being present for someone else, you play a vital role in God’s work of strengthening His people.
Journal:
In your journal answer the following questions:
1. In what ways have you experienced strength through the support of fellow believers?
2. Who in your life may need encouragement or a helping hand today?
3. Are you making time to invest in God’s family, knowing it brings mutual strength and growth?
Training:
Reach out to someone in our church family today — whether to offer encouragement, ask for prayer, or simply connect. Remember, together we are stronger.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of Your family. Help me to lean on others when I am weak and to be a source of strength for those around me. Teach me to love, encourage, and serve as You would. Bind us together in unity and help us grow stronger as Your Church.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
