The Empty Tomb – A Historical Fact

April 21, 2025

Hey Clawson Family!

Scripture:

Matthew 28:6 – “He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.”

Devotional Reflection:

The resurrection of Jesus is not just a belief—it’s rooted in real history. The empty tomb wasn’t a rumor; it was a disruption that shook the world. Even those who opposed Jesus couldn’t deny it—the tomb was empty. Guards were bribed, stories were twisted, but the truth stood firm. Jesus did exactly what He said He would do: He conquered death. The same power that rolled away the stone is still at work today, opening tombs in our lives—releasing us from shame, fear, and sin.

Journal Questions:

  • What “tomb” has Jesus rolled the stone away from in your life?

  • Are there areas in your life that still feel sealed and hopeless?

Challenge:

Write down one area of your life that feels stuck or “dead” and declare resurrection life over it in prayer each morning this week.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for the victory of the empty tomb. Help me walk boldly in resurrection power. Remind me daily that what You conquer stays conquered. Amen.
