Devotional:

It’s easy to think that faith must be grand or extraordinary for God to work in our lives. However, Jesus teaches us that even the smallest faith—faith the size of a mustard seed—has the power to move mountains. A mustard seed is one of the tiniest seeds, yet when planted, it grows into a large tree that provides shelter and sustenance.

God isn’t asking for perfect or giant faith; He simply calls us to trust Him, even in the smallest ways. A small step of faith, like choosing to pray despite doubts, trusting God with one decision, or taking the first step toward obedience, can lead to miraculous outcomes.

Faith is not about how much we have but about whom we place our faith in.

Jesus teaches that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. The issue isn’t the size of our faith—it’s where we place it. A small amount of faith in a great God can accomplish more than we imagine. The disciples thought they needed more faith, but Jesus showed them they just needed to place it correctly.

Don’t wait until your faith feels “big enough.” Trust God with what you have today. Pray boldly, take steps of faith, and watch how He moves.

Today, find one small way to exercise faith—whether through prayer, gratitude, obedience, or stepping out of your comfort zone. Watch how God honors even the smallest acts of trust in Him.

Father, thank You for reminding me that my faith doesn’t have to be big—just genuine. Help me to trust You, even in small ways, knowing that You are faithful. Strengthen my heart to take steps of faith, no matter how small, believing that You are at work in my life. Help me to trust that You are able to do the impossible. Amen.
