What Are You Going to do with Your “Measure of Faith”?
September 19, 2024
Hey Clawson Family!
Song:
Scripture:
Romans 12:3 New King James Version
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Matthew 17:20 New Living Translation
20 “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.[a]”
Devotional:
What are you going to do with your “measure of Faith”?
I personally believe what Paul is talking about here in this passage is the measure of faith that God has given to each believer to build up the body of Christ. The measure of faith to use your gifts effectively to build the Kingdom of Heaven. If you are a believer in Christ you have been given a “measure of Faith”, and it is up to put that faith into action and develop it. How do I do that? Trust God More!
I believe that as we learn to trust the word of God, learn to trust the guidance of the Holy Spirit and put into action what He is telling us to do, God is going to use us in things that we never would have thought would be possible.
If you are not a believer, you have not chosen to follow Christ. I am hoping and praying that you will allow faith to be birthed in you to get in the plane and allow God to show you how real he truly is.
Faith is trusting what God says, doubt is being uncertain of it. Faith unlocks what God wants to do in our lives, doubt stops us from receiving what God wants to do in our lives.
The word today is trust God and get in the Plane. Take your next step in your faith journey.
Journal:
Sometimes you must be willing to take a step before you see a sign. What’s an area in your life where you feel God calling you to take a step, write them down in your journal.
Training:
Today, prove your faith with your actions by loving someone around you. Take time to serve someone. This could look like holding the door open for someone, helping a family member with chores, or cleaning up leaves from your neighbor’s yard. There are lots of ways to show kindness to those around you!
