Where Is Your Faith?
February 24, 2025
Hey Clawson Family!
Song:
Scripture:
Luke 8:25 – “Then he asked them, ‘Where is your faith?’”
Hebrews 11:1- "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
Devotional:
The question "Where is your faith?" invites us to take a deep, honest look into our hearts. It challenges us to assess whether our trust is firmly rooted in God's promises or if it wavers under the weight of daily struggles and uncertainties. In a world filled with shifting priorities and fleeting assurances, faith becomes our anchor—a steadfast assurance that God is at work in our lives even when we cannot see the complete picture.
Consider the example of Abraham, whose faith led him to step into the unknown, trusting in God's plan despite the uncertainties ahead. Like him, we are called to believe beyond what our eyes can see, to hold fast to the hope that God's love and purpose remain constant, even amidst life's storms. When doubts arise, it is not a sign of weak faith but an opportunity to seek a deeper, more personal encounter with the Divine.
In the midst of the storm, the disciples were terrified. They had witnessed Jesus perform miracles, yet in the face of danger, their faith wavered. They believed more in the storm’s ability to destroy them than in Jesus’ ability to save them. How often do we do the same? We focus on the chaos, the trouble, and the fear rather than the Savior who is with us.
May this devotional be a reminder that faith is not a one-time decision, but a continual journey of trust and renewal. Let your heart be anchored in God's everlasting love, and may you find courage in His promise that nothing is impossible for those who believe.
Journal:
In your journal, take a moment to reflect on where you place your hope. Is it in temporary things that fade away, or is it anchored in the eternal promises of God? Ask God to reveal areas in your life where your faith may be faltering. Use those moments as opportunities for growth, trusting that God will strengthen you.
Training:
Where is my faith placed today? Is it in my fears, circumstances, or in the unshakable power of Jesus? Shift your faith back to Him and trust that He can calm any storm in your life.
Lord, Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being my unwavering source of hope and strength. Today, as I reflect on the foundation of my faith, I ask that You reveal any areas where my trust is not fully in You. Help me to place my faith in You, not in my circumstances. Remind me that You are greater than any storm I face. Help me to surrender my doubts and fears, replacing them with the certainty of Your love and promises. Strengthen my spirit and guide me to live a life that radiates Your truth and grace.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
