With Faith the Impossible is Possible
September 26, 2024
Hey Clawson Family!
Song:
Scripture:
Matthew 17:20 New Living Translation
20 “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.[a]”
Devotional:
When you have faith, even the things that look impossible are possible.
Is it possible for an entire sea to be parted and 2 million people cross on dry ground? Is it possible for food to just randomly start falling out of heaven? Is it possible for water to come pouring out of a rock? Is it possible for an entire city's walls to come tumbling to the ground?
Is it possible for cancer to be gone? Is it possible for demons to be cast out? Is it possible for miracles to happen? Here is the answer: What looks impossible is possible when we trust God. Jump out of the plane, put your faith into action, and see what God can do.
The question is, what looks impossible in your life right now?
Maybe it's the restoration of your marriage, the salvation of a child, the healing of your body, or financial struggles. What is it for you? What have you been believing is impossible in your life? Pinpoint that thing in your mind. God still wants to do the impossible today if we dare to have faith, trust Him, and jump out of the plane.
Obedience is our responsibility; the outcome is God’s responsibility. Be obedient and trust him with the outcome.
Journal:
Have you ever been in a situation that seemed impossible? How have you seen the faithfulness of God in that situation?
It has been said that God is doing thousands of things on our behalf, but we may only be aware of a few. Take a moment to recall how the Lord has been faithful to you, and write your thoughts down in your journal.
Training:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for reminding me that nothing is too hard for You. When I’m in a waiting season, help me believe that You can do what seems impossible in my life.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
